First Video Edit

'Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.' - Neale Donald Walsch

I had the opportunity to work on this week's video feature on OMG Foodie. I was really scared but excited at the same time. It was my first time editing a video and using Adobe Premiere Pro. The video was about Print, a restaurant located in Midtown West, which promotes a strong Farm to Table culture. There was a lot of great footage to go through (shot by Joe Marte) but I had to condense over 30GB of video into 3 minutes; I had to make sure the important points in the story were included. Owner & Operator, Adam Block shared his story and passion for the restaurant industry and working with local farmers to help support the community and contributing to the restaurant industry. That being said, I def. included his mention about the full-time forager they had on staff as well as the growing relationships they had with local farms in the area. I paired the interview with the vibrant colours of the fresh vegetables and great cooking scenes. The music was chosen to reflect the lounge like environment Print gives off.

Tomorrow I'll be shooting with Joe at Eileen's Special Cheesecakes - home to one of the best Cheesecakes I've ever had. Def. looking forward to start working on this video next!
